Can succulents be kept in a stuffy environment?

Can I keep it stuffy?

Ventilation and stuffiness, it sounds like these two things are indeed contradictory. In fact, there is a contradiction, but for different breeds, the idea of keeping them in a closed environment does exist. For succulents in the Crassulaceae family, ventilation is even more important. Don’t even think about growing them in a stuffy environment. Cacti and jade plants are suitable for growing them in a stuffy environment.

How to keep it quiet?

As the saying goes, "wear fur coats in the morning and gauze in the afternoon, and eat watermelon around the stove." The reason why Xinjiang fruits are sweet is due to the huge temperature difference between morning and evening. The same goes for growing succulents in a stuffy environment. By creating a larger temperature difference, the color of the succulents will be more beautiful.

You can use plastic cups that are everywhere at home, the transparent ones, and put them directly on the succulents. Use a toothpick to poke a few holes on the top, or keep them in a completely closed state. After keeping them in a stuffy state for a period of time, you can open the lid to ventilate them, and then continue to keep them in a stuffy state.

Precautions

First of all, haste makes waste. Succulents that are kept in a closed environment should not be placed in the sun, as this will cause the temperature to be too high. Therefore, don’t keep it stuffy in the hot summer, winter is more suitable.

Secondly, the meat that has just been watered needs to be ventilated first, and then kept in a sealed container after the water is absorbed.

Finally, long-term keeping in a closed environment will lead to a decrease in the antibodies of succulents, so normal maintenance is still required in seasons with higher temperatures.
