How to plant first love

How to plant first love

Prepare the Soil

I found a small flowerpot, filled it with "potting soil" that I mixed with coal slag and leaf mold, wetted it, and put it in the sun for a while.

Cutting method

You can buy a First Love seedling online, or ask your neighbor for one. Pick off the lower leaves and let them dry in a cool place for a while.

Then lay the leaves flat on the soil and keep it slightly moist.

All that's left is to wait quietly and don't move it around until it takes root. After about two weeks, small roots will grow from the leaves.

Then bury the roots in the soil, not too deep, just slightly. Place it in the sun and let it grow.

Leaf buds will grow after a week. The leaf buds grow very quickly. When they grow up slowly, you can change their pots!

Maintenance after cutting

The young cuttings of First Love are relatively fragile, so do not transplant them at will before the root system has fully grown. If the flowerpot prepared is large enough when taking cuttings, the cuttings can be grown in the original pot.

After the seedlings have grown for a period of time, the mother leaves will gradually turn black and wither due to the depletion of nutrients. The old leaves should be cut off in time.

After the leaf buds grow out, they should be exposed to the sun in time and ensure sufficient water to prevent the first love from starting to grow too tall during the seedling stage.
