Cultivation methods and precautions of potted baby's breath

Cultivation methods and precautions of potted baby's breath

1. Soil

The most important thing for potted baby's breath is the soil. It does not have very high requirements for the cultivation soil, as long as the soil is not too sticky. Using coarse sandy soil with good drainage is more conducive to its growth.

2. Temperature

The best temperature for its growth is 15-25℃. The temperature at night may drop, but it should be maintained at around 10-15℃ as much as possible. The temperature in summer is relatively high, and the maximum should not exceed 30℃. In winter, it is best to keep it indoors and ensure that the room temperature is above 10℃.

3. Water

The plant has very high requirements for water, especially during the seedling stage, when it needs relatively more water. It is best to water it thoroughly. Don't always water it halfway, as this will cause damage to its roots. When it comes to flowering, the amount of watering needs to be reduced appropriately. Too much water will reduce the quality of the flowers.

4. Lighting

Gypsophila likes warmth, so it should see the sun as much as possible, but avoid being exposed to strong sunlight. Especially in summer, move the potted plants to a cool place and always remember to spray water to keep them moist.

5. Notes

During the rainy season, it needs to be sheltered from the rain and not exposed to the rain. If plants grow in a humid environment for a long time, they are easily attacked by diseases and insects. Once discovered, medication should be used as soon as possible. Continuous use 2-3 times can have a good preventive and therapeutic effect.
