DIY Succulent Paving Stones

Prepare the Materials

sand

Either river sand or sea sand will do. If there is a river nearby, you can go to the riverside to dig some, or ask friends at the construction site for some. Sea sand is the easiest to obtain. You can bring some with you when you go to the beach. Choose particles that are moderate in size, about 0.5 to 1 cm.

sieve

This is the tool commonly used for washing rice at home. Borrow it for use temporarily. Don't forget to wash it after use.

Production process

You can start after preparing the tools. The main steps are screening sand - cleaning - drying.

The first step is to sift the sand

Taking river sand as an example, the smaller particles in the river sand are removed. Put the river sand on the sieve, put a basin under the sieve, shake the sieve quickly and repeatedly to select the larger particles of river sand.

If there is too much smoke and dust when sifting sand, you can add a little water to the basin below. But be careful, the unscreened sand must be kept dry, otherwise the sand will be sticky and cannot be screened.

Ta-da! The sand has been screened!

Step 2 Cleaning

The screened sand is rinsed repeatedly to remove the dust on the surface. Make the surface of the sand cleaner and reveal its beautiful original color.

The sand is washed!

Step 3 Drying

Put the sand in the sun and see if the washed sand is shiny!

Make it now and enjoy it!

PS: The screening method for sea sand is the same as above, but please note that the sea sand must be carefully cleaned, because there is a lot of sea salt in the sand, which will affect the growth of the plants if it is not cleaned.
