Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of moss phlox

Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of moss phlox

1. Lack of water

Reason: Shibazakura likes to grow in a watery and humid environment, and the soil must also contain a certain amount of moisture. Especially in summer, it has a greater demand for water. If you don't water it enough during daily maintenance and it cannot meet its growth needs, it will be detrimental to its flowering and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: Increase the frequency of watering and water a little more to moisten the soil. You can also replenish moisture by spraying water on the plants.

2. Insufficient light

Reason: Shibazakura needs sufficient light to grow. Only with sufficient light can the colors of the flowers be more beautiful and bright. If there is not enough light, the flowers will be affected, the color of the petals and leaves will change, and the ornamental value will be reduced.

Measures: It needs to be moved to a place with sufficient light and long sunshine hours for maintenance to ensure that it can receive sufficient sunlight and bloom beautiful flowers.

3. Insufficient nutrients

Reason: If no fertilizer is applied when the moss pink is planted and during its later growth period, it will grow slowly due to insufficient nutrients, and its leaves will lose color and gradually turn yellow.

Measures: Apply fertilizer in time and apply some farmyard manure during the growing period. Pay attention to controlling the amount of fertilizer.

4. Disease problems

Reason: Leaf blight may occur during the growth process of Shibazakura, causing the leaves to turn yellow or even fall off.

Measures: Leaf blight is caused by lack of water, so you only need to replenish water in time. During daily maintenance, ensure sufficient water and good ventilation.
