How to spend the summer with succulents

How to spend the summer with succulents

Do not expose to the sun

Even if it is placed on a small balcony, you should pull a layer of screen to block the sunlight when the sunlight is too strong in summer. Succulents basically don't grow in the summer, and they will die when exposed to the sun.

Don't cut off water

Most succulents die due to overwatering. There are also requirements for watering. Some people say not to water in summer. NO, don’t stop watering. You should know that some succulents still grow slowly in summer, but they grow extremely slowly.

Therefore, water appropriately at night or in the cool evening after rain.

Don't get wet

The outdoor temperature is high in summer and it is stuffy indoors. Opening windows for ventilation is the best option. It would be best if you can find a cool place outdoors and take precautions against the sun and rain. Of course, you can use electric fans to cool down the room. If you use air conditioning for a long time indoors, remember to open the windows frequently for ventilation.

Don't be too nervous

It is normal for succulents to lose color and become worse in summer, but they will revive when autumn comes. Don't make a fuss if the color fades. Just get used to it.

Don't give up

Many succulents will lose their leaves and be left bare in the summer. Don't abandon them. Water them after autumn comes and some of them will recover.

If you give it up, the meatballs will give you up too!

Don't be too lazy

Succulent plants with variegated spots must be taken special care of in the summer, and ventilation must be good. They are too fragile. Especially those whose leaves grow too densely. It is best to clean the bottom and middle leaves properly in the summer, otherwise they will easily suffocate.
