What to do if the tulip bulb rots

Tulip bulbs are dug up early

The bulbs of tulips are dug up early, and the growth of new bulbs is not full. In order to improve the quality of new forest plants, they must receive sufficient light during the flowering period, and quick-acting fertilizers mainly composed of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied. The plant bulbs should be dug up before the leaves turn yellow.

Tulip bulbs are stored at high temperatures

When storing bulbs, the temperature should not be kept too high and the humidity should not be too high. The storage temperature should be around 15-20℃, and it should be placed in a well-ventilated place indoors. If the indoor temperature is too high, the humidity is high, and the ventilation is poor, it is easy to cause the bulb to become diseased and rot.

Tulip bulbs are too wet

New bulbs in soil with pathogens or that are not dry can cause the bulbs to rot. After digging up the bulbs, remove the original soil and place them in a cool and ventilated place to wait for the bulbs to dry. Then grade them and put them in paper bags or place them on ventilated shelves for storage and maintenance.

Tulip bulb soil is very sticky

When planting, keep the soil sticky but not too sticky, and use soil with good drainage. Pay attention to drainage during cultivation. Do not water too much. Keep the planting layer moist and loosen the soil frequently to ensure good soil ventilation.
