How much is the average yield of sunflower per acre? The cost and net income of planting sunflower per acre

Sunflower yield per mu

Due to the high economic development potential of sunflower, it is also one of the main crops in my country. If densely planted, the per-acre yield of edible sunflower is about 150 to 200 kilograms, and the per-acre yield of oil sunflower is usually around 200 to 250 kilograms. Some high-yield ones can reach about 600 kilograms.

Sunflower planting prospects

The market purchase price of sunflower is about 7-8 yuan per kilogram, and the profit of one mu of land is about 1,000-2,000 yuan. Since sunflower has strong adaptability, the cost is not high. The cost of materials and drip irrigation facilities is 200-300 yuan, so the net profit is about 800 to 1,700 yuan. The planting prospects are very good.

How to grow sunflowers for high yields

1. Soil: Sunflower is not picky about the soil and can quickly adapt to ordinary soil, but it is best to use loose, breathable and well-drained soil as the soil.

2. Light: The more light the sunflower gets, the better it grows. Be sure to give it sufficient light. Even when the light is strong in summer, there is no need to shade it.

3. Temperature: Sunflower is not resistant to low temperatures. The most suitable temperature for its growth is 26-29 degrees. Its cultivation temperature should not be lower than 15 degrees. When the ambient temperature is too low, it should be kept warm in time.

4. Watering: Sunflower likes moisture but cannot tolerate waterlogging. Water it when the soil is dry. Do not water it excessively, causing water to accumulate in the pot, as this will cause root rot.

5. Fertilization: Sunflower is a plant that is relatively resistant to barrenness, but it also needs to be fertilized appropriately to promote its growth. It can be fertilized once every half a month. Diluted phosphate fertilizer can be used for it. It is recommended to use one thousandth of potassium dihydrogen phosphate.

6. Pests and diseases: Sunflowers are relatively resistant and are rarely attacked by pests and diseases, but preventive measures must still be taken. It is best to spray some preventive drugs on them before they sprout.
