How to sow potted hibiscus

How to sow potted hibiscus

Sowing time for potted hibiscus

The sowing time of potted hibiscus is not fixed. It can be sown in the other three seasons except winter. Pay attention to controlling the indoor temperature when potting, and the sowing time can be appropriately relaxed.

Germination time of potted hibiscus

The potted hibiscus will sprout in about 1-2 weeks after sowing. Water it thoroughly after sprouting. It should be noted here that the germination time is different in different sowing seasons. If the room temperature is well controlled when sowing in autumn, it will germinate in about two weeks. Different indoor temperatures will also cause the germination time to be earlier or later, with slight deviations.

How to sow the seeds of potted hibiscus

The sowing soil for potted hibiscus should be slightly decomposed peat soil. If flower lovers do not have the conditions, regular sowing media can also be used.

After sowing, cover the roots and buds with soil, then water them thoroughly. Note that the depth of the soil should be about 1-21cm. When watering, you should choose the spraying method to avoid watering too quickly and washing away the covering soil. If the sowing time is around March, you can cover the entire pot with a layer of plastic film. When the seedlings grow to about 3-5 cm tall, you can make a small hole in the film to keep it breathable. The advantage of plastic film is that it can keep warm and moist, which helps the hibiscus to germinate.
