How to plant cherry tomato seeds

How to plant cherry tomato seeds

Generally speaking, you need to wait until the cherry tomatoes grow naturally to red and become soft before you can pick them. If the temperature reaches 28℃, you only need to wait three days before harvesting.

Cherry tomatoes need to be soaked before sowing. Place the prepared cherry tomato seeds in warm water at 50℃ and soak for about 10 hours. The sowing location must be sheltered from the wind and have sufficient light.

Tomato seed sowing time

The best time to sow cherry tomato seeds is around April in spring, because the temperature at this time is most suitable and the seeds can germinate and grow better. Be sure to water them in time after sowing.

How to plant small tomato seeds

1. Prepare the seedbed

The seedbed for cherry tomatoes should be prepared in advance. The plants like warmth, so the seedbed must have sufficient light and good drainage. Before sowing, the soil should be plowed about 25 cm deep and an appropriate amount of base fertilizer should be applied.

2. Seed germination

Before sowing cherry tomatoes, soak the seeds in clean water, then rub them repeatedly to remove impurities, and then soak them for 5-7 hours before sowing.

3. Sow seeds at the right time

Wait until most of the seeds turn white before you can start sowing. Place the processed seeds on the seedbed, cover with a thin layer of soil, and spray water in time to keep the soil moist.
