How to fertilize fleshy bulbs

How to fertilize fleshy bulbs

How to fertilize

The bulb grows slowly and does not require much nutrients, but fertilizer cannot be ignored. You can use some slow-release fertilizer during the cultivation process. No need to fertilize frequently, easy to maintain.

Autumn is an important period for succulents to end their dormant period and transition to the growth period. Fertilizers need to be added in time, once a month, and the number of fertilizations can be appropriately increased depending on their growth.

Winter is the growing season for succulent bulbs, so the application of fertilizer cannot be neglected. However, the temperature is lower in winter, so it is better to apply fertilizer in the morning before the sun comes out and expose the plants to the sun after applying fertilizer.

The bulbs go dormant in summer, so stop fertilizing.

What fertilizer to apply

The advantages are that it is easy to obtain, the fertilizer effect is released slowly, the fertilizer effect is long, and it is not easy to burn the roots. The disadvantages are that it contains little nutrients, has a bad smell, and can easily stain the plants.
