When the temperature is high and the weather is dry, water or irrigate in the early morning or evening to keep the soil moist. During the 7-8 leaf stage, apply potassium sulfate compound fertilizer and potassium sulfate in combination with watering. 5. Soil cultivation To ensure the appearance quality of carrots, row sowing is used and soil is added in time to prevent the fleshy roots from exposing the soil surface. 6. Harvest When the heart leaves of the plant turn yellow-green and the outer leaves turn yellow, it means the carrots are ripe. When harvesting, the green tops are cut off, the soil is removed, and the carrots without defects and of appropriate weight are selected and bagged. 7. Storage Carrots need to be stored properly to extend their shelf life. Storage methods include ditch storage, cellar storage or kiln storage, maintaining the temperature in the cellar at 1-3°C and the humidity at 95% to ensure the quality of the carrots.
