Cultivation methods and precautions of clam orchid

Cultivation methods and precautions of clam orchid

1. Soil

The clam orchid is suitable for cultivation in fertile, water-conserving and breathable soil. The soil that can meet these conditions is sandy loam. Using this kind of soil for cultivation can make the plant grow faster and stronger.

2. Water

When watering, just water normally, about twice a week, and the amount of water does not need to be a lot. When watering, you should pay attention to controlling the amount of water to avoid stagnant water, which may cause root rot of the plant.

3. Temperature

The cold resistance of the clam orchid is very poor, so it is best to keep it at home under normal circumstances, but in winter it should be well insulated and protected to avoid frostbite. In normal times, the temperature should be controlled at around 25-28℃, and in winter, the temperature should not be lower than 8℃.

4. Lighting

It does not like an environment with too much light or too strong light. It is suitable for growing in a semi-shaded environment, and diffuse light is best. Too much sunlight or too strong light will affect the normal growth of the plants, and improper protection may also cause damage to the plants.
