1. Clivia flowering period

The flowering period of Clivia is generally between February and April in spring, and it basically only blooms once a year, but the flowering period can be extended through artificial adjustment. However, due to differences in planting areas and methods, the flowering time of Clivia is not fixed, and some will bloom in June and July in summer. However, the growth cycle of Clivia is relatively long, and it usually takes four or five years of cultivation before it can bloom, but if it is well cultivated, it can bloom once every two or three years.

2. Maintenance methods during flowering period

Fertilization: Clivia consumes a lot of nutrients during flowering and needs to be supplemented with fertilizer in time. Do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer during the flowering period. Mainly use phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and only apply once or twice to ensure that the flower buds can grow normally.

Light: During the flowering period of Clivia, it is necessary to give it sufficient light, which is not only beneficial to the photosynthesis of its branches and leaves, but also promotes the growth of flower buds. But you need to pay attention to the intensity of light. Strong light will make the color of its flowers more vivid, but the flowering period will be shortened. Weak light will slightly extend the flowering period, but the color of the flowers will be lighter.

Water: After Clivia blooms, it has a relatively high demand for water. It is necessary to provide the plant with sufficient water and ensure that the soil humidity is no less than 60%.

Temperature: Be sure to keep the temperature between fifteen and twenty degrees Celsius, and the lowest should not be lower than ten degrees.
