How to plant succulent seedlings

How to plant succulent seedlings

When planting succulent seedlings, you need to choose loose, fertile, well-drained and breathable soil for cultivation. It is recommended to use imported peat combined with vermiculite, Akadama and other granular media for maintenance. This can effectively prevent diseases and pests and is not likely to cause root rot in the plants.

Succulent seedlings have poor resistance to high temperatures and cold, but are relatively drought-resistant. They are afraid of watery and humid environments, so they do not need to be watered frequently during cultivation. In addition, sufficient light will allow succulent seedlings to grow better.

Steps for planting succulent seedlings

The steps for planting succulent seedlings are relatively simple. First, trim the dead and rotten roots of the succulent seedlings, and cut the roots shorter.

Place it in a cool place and wait for the wound to heal before planting. You can also soak it in potassium permanganate solution for 30 minutes, take it out and place it in a well-ventilated place to dry, and prepare for planting.

How to plant succulent seedlings

1. Potted plants:

For potted succulent seedlings, choose a small but breathable pot. Spread a layer of gravel on the bottom to enhance breathability and drainage. Either a clay pot or a tile pot can be used.

Place the flowerpot in a sunny place for disinfection and sterilization, then plant the treated succulent seedlings in the prepared potting soil.

2. Greenhouse:

When planting succulent seedlings in a greenhouse, the temperature must be controlled well, and the movements must be gentle when planting so as not to damage the roots. The soil around it should be compacted, covered with a thin layer of soil, and the soil in the pot should be moist.
