1. How was it cultivated? At present, the money trees we see on the market are generally cultivated by sowing and cutting methods. The plants obtained by the cutting method are small and relatively unpopular, so the sowing method is more commonly used. Some time after sowing, people will prune and guide the stems of the plant so that it can grow into many shapes, which will make it more popular. However, its cultivation time and cost are long, so the price of a money tree with a good shape is also very high. 2. Is it grafted? There is actually more than one method of propagating the money tree, such as seed sowing, branch cuttings, layering, and of course grafting. Grafting is generally done in spring, and the rootstock must be of the same family. This way the incision healing rate will be higher after grafting, otherwise it will be difficult to heal. 3. Grafting methodWhen grafting the fortune tree, make a longitudinal cut about 30-40cm above the rootstock, pick the branches with more vigorous growth, and make oblique cuts on both sides of the lower end. Afterwards, use carbendazim to disinfect, so that the graft will survive better. Then insert the branches into the longitudinal cut of the rootstock, wrap them in a plastic bag or film, and place them in a semi-shaded place. |
