1. Seed selection and processing

Choose healthy and plump cabbage sprout seeds , soak them in warm water for 4 to 8 hours, then take them out and place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

2. Land preparation

Choose flat land to till, remove stones, weeds, plant roots, etc., and make the soil loose.

3. Seedling cultivation and planting

The seedbed area required for each acre of field is 15 square meters, and the seed amount is about 150 grams. It can also be sown directly, with a seed rate of 500 grams per mu. After germination, thin out the seeds in time, keeping a distance of about 5 cm. When transplanting, choose strong seedlings and transplant them on a sunny day.

4. Application of base fertilizer

When planting in the field, apply sufficient base fertilizer, 50 kg of triple compound fertilizer and 2,500 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer per mu, using a combination of broadcasting and strip application.

5. Field management

7-10 days after transplanting, apply nitrogen-based fertilizer to promote seedling growth at a rate of 5 kg per mu. After entering the moss-harvesting period, apply thin manure water or compound fertilizer every 10 days or so to promote the growth of side moss.

6. Pest and disease control

Viral diseases, downy mildew and soft rot are the main diseases, and aphids and cabbage loopers are the main insect pests. The key to preventing and controlling viral diseases is to prevent and control aphids in a timely manner. The main agents are dimethoate and imidacloprid.

To prevent and control downy mildew, you should pay attention to spraying the back of the leaves. Commonly used agents include thiophanate-methyl and metalaxyl.

When preventing and controlling soft rot, focus on spraying the diseased plants and their surroundings, especially the diseased leaves and stem bases near the ground. Commonly used pesticides include agricultural streptomycin, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, and carbendazim.
