What are the colors of azalea and what are its characteristics?

1. What colors are there?

When azalea blooms, it has more than one color. The colors are very rich and bright, including red, white, purple, crimson, yellow, apricot red, light red, snow-blue, etc. Some are alternating between different colors, but the most common color is red. It blooms in spring from April to May, and the corolla is broad funnel-shaped, 3.5-4cm long and 1.5-2cm wide. The style extends outside the corolla and is glabrous.

2. Features

1. Morphological characteristics: Azalea is a deciduous shrub that usually grows to 2 meters in height, and sometimes to 5 meters. The plant has many branches, which are very slender, densely covered with brighter brown, flat and rough hairs. The leaves grow at the ends of the branches, are leathery, 1.5-5cm long, and are oval or elliptical-ovate. The leaves are slightly curled at the edges, dark green on top and white on the bottom.

2. Habit characteristics: It likes a cool and ventilated environment and is suitable for growing in acidic soil. When the temperature is high, it will enter a semi-dormant state and its growth will slow down. It likes partial shade, so it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. It needs to be shaded in summer, otherwise its leaves will be burned. It likes a moist soil environment, but does not like stagnant water. However, the air humidity should be high. If it is too dry, spray it with more water.
