How to cultivate the brocade pearl

Temperature and light

The brocade bead likes a warm growing environment. It has strong adaptability and is relatively cold-resistant. The suitable temperature for its growth is between 15℃ and 25℃, and the winter overwintering temperature is generally not lower than 5℃. The brocade pearl likes medium-intensity light and can also tolerate certain weak light. The best sunlight for the growing environment is scattered light. It grows better in semi-shady environment. Be careful to avoid high temperatures and strong light in summer, and provide shade.

Watering and fertilizing

The brocade bead likes a humid growing environment, is relatively drought-resistant, and grows better in an environment with high air humidity. When watering the brocade pearl, you can water it once a week to keep the soil in the pot moist. It likes fertile soil. When planting, you need to apply a certain amount of base fertilizer first. During the peak growing season in spring and autumn, you need to fertilize more frequently, but be careful to apply thin fertilizers. In summer, when the temperature is too high, be careful to reduce the frequency of watering and fertilizing to avoid root rot.

soil

The brocade pearl is not very particular about the soil. It prefers loose, fertile and humus-rich soil. Coal slag, coarse sand and leaf mold can be used to make the substrate. When potting, you can put some decomposed fertilizer in the soil.

Reproduction method

The propagation of the brocade pearl can be done by cuttings in spring and autumn, which are relatively easy to survive. It can also be divided, but the temperature in winter is low and it is not suitable for division propagation.

Pests and diseases

During its growth, the brocade pearl will be attacked by pests such as aphids, snails, and cottony scale, as well as diseases such as stem rot and soot, which endanger its health.

Basin

The brocade pearl is a plant with a shallow root system. When potting it, you can choose a shallow pot and put a tile at the bottom of the pot and put coarse sand to increase air permeability.
