How much should I water the plum blossoms at a time? How to remedy overwatering the plum blossoms

1. How to water

The plum blossom does not have a very high demand for water. Usually the soil should be kept slightly moist and not watered too much. It is sufficient to water it once every 7-10 days. Depending on the different environmental climates, the watering interval should be appropriately increased or decreased. For example, in the rainy season, the watering time needs to be postponed and drainage should be done well. If the temperature is high and the water evaporates quickly, you need to water it in advance to prevent the soil from being too dry.

2. How to remedy overwatering?

1. Drain the accumulated water: If you water the plum blossoms too much and water accumulates in the potting soil, you must drain it immediately. Of course, this also applies to potted plants placed outdoors during the rainy season, which also require rainwater to be drained away. This can prevent too much water from affecting the respiration of the roots and thus affecting the growth and development of the plant.

2. Loosen the soil and ventilate: In addition to drainage, you also need to loosen the soil for plum blossoms and increase ventilation, so that the moisture in the soil can evaporate. If the soil remains moist for a long time, bacteria are likely to grow. Good air circulation can also prevent the growth of bacteria and reduce the possibility of root rot.

3. Remove the plant from the pot and trim the roots: If water accumulation occurs for a period of time, or the soil in the pot is damp for a long time, which has caused root rot, it is necessary to remove the plant from the pot and trim the roots. Remove the plant from the pot, shake off some of the old soil, and check for rot. Use sterilized scissors to trim the rotten roots, check them and apply carbendazim to disinfect them, wait for the wounds to dry, and then replant them.
