Why do cyclamen flowers fall over?

Why do cyclamen flowers fall over?

Too much watering

Generally, when the flowers of cyclamen fall over, the first thing to do is to check whether it is because of overwatering. Because when growing cyclamen, if you water it too much, the stems may rot, the plant will no longer be upright, and the flowers will fall over.

If the stems of cyclamen rot due to overwatering, it is difficult to deal with, and in serious cases the plant may rot. The best way to deal with it is to let the soil in the cyclamen pot dry quickly, provide proper ventilation, or enhance drainage by raising the bottom of the pot so that water no longer accumulates. If the bulb is not rotten, the plant can still grow again.

Lack of water

If you water them too much, the flowers will easily fall over; if you water them too little, they will also fall over. Sometimes, if cyclamen is watered too little, it will lack water and cause drought, and the flowers will fall over.

This situation is relatively simple. First of all, you need to replenish water for the cyclamen. You can use the pot immersion method to water the cyclamen. After immersion, place the cyclamen in a cool place for a period of time and it will recover. After that, water normally.

Not adapting to the environment

Many flower lovers have experienced the phenomenon of cyclamen flowers falling over when they were just bought. This is mainly because the cyclamen cannot adapt to the new environment. The cyclamen has not yet recovered, so the flowers are falling over.

For the cyclamen you just bought home, you must first give it an adaptation process. Do not put it in a sunny place. You can put it in a warm but shady place. Do not water it. Just wait for a few days.

Note that if the flowers of the cyclamen fall over at this time, do not rush to water them to avoid root rot caused by excessive water. Wait until the plant adapts to the new environment before watering it.

In addition, it is also important to note that in places in the north where there are heaters, it is best not to place cyclamen near heaters, otherwise the flowers will easily be burned and wilted.
