1. Lighting

The plants need to be shaded in the early stage of planting, and the shade area should be about 80%. If planted in mid-to-late October when the temperature is lower, there is no need for a shade net, allowing the plant to fully bask in the sun and get warmth.

2. Watering

The soil should not be too wet during the seedling stage. It is better to keep the soil slightly moist to prevent root rot. During the growth process, you need to water it frequently to replenish the water necessary for growth, about once every 2 to 4 days. The soil should be kept slightly moist, but no water should be retained.

3. Fertilization

When the plant grows to about 5 or 6 true leaves, it should be fertilized, and a small amount of 20:10:20 compound fertilizer should be added appropriately. During the middle stage of the nutritional growth of the Chinese honeysuckle plant, a large amount of calcium fertilizer and potassium fertilizer are needed. 10~12kg of nitrate nitrogen fertilizer and 8~10kg of calcium fertilizer are applied per mu each time.

4. Temperature

The temperature suitable for its growth is generally 15~23℃ during the day, and the low temperature is maintained at 5~10℃. Avoid direct sunlight in the summer, which will burn the leaves and prevent photosynthesis. Keep it warm in the winter when it is too cold to prevent it from frostbite.
