Cultivation method of old crow persimmon

Cultivation method of old crow persimmon

1. Soil:

The old crow persimmon is suitable for cultivation in sandy soil with deep soil layer, good drainage, moist and fertile. Remember to build up the soil after planting to facilitate plant survival.

2. Lighting:

The old crow persimmon is light-loving in nature and needs sufficient light during its growth period to promote the growth of the plant. However, the old duck persimmon is most afraid of being exposed to the sun, and the light intensity should not be too strong to avoid sunburning the plants.

3. Watering:

The old crow persimmon is definitely drought-resistant and does not need to be watered too frequently, just keep the soil moist. Do not water too much to cause water accumulation, as this will affect the root system.

4. Fertilization:

Use nitrogen-containing compound fertilizer in spring to stimulate growth and promote flowering; use a small amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in autumn to enhance the ability to resist cold. But the old duck persimmon cannot tolerate heavy fertilizer, so don't apply too much.

5. Notes:

1. Pruning: You can prune the old duck persimmon properly in spring and autumn to produce more fruits. In spring, prune the messy branches short to promote the development of new branches; prune the overly long branches to maintain the shape; in autumn, prune the diseased and damaged branches to retain the fruit branches to facilitate germination next year.

2. Pollination: The old crow persimmon is dioecious, so pay attention to the proper pairing so that it can pollinate normally. Since it is an insect-pollinated flower, you can place it outdoors when it blooms to allow insects to help with pollination.
