The difference between Molan and Cymbidium

1. Different pseudobulbs

The pseudobulb of Mo Lan is very large and spherical in shape. It is very obvious and easy to find.

The pseudobulb of Cymbidium is relatively small, looks very delicate, and is oval in shape. It is difficult to be found easily. If you don't observe carefully, it is difficult to find. You can take the plant out of the pot and observe carefully to see the difference.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of Mo Lan are relatively wide and look larger than the latter, and the surface of the leaves is relatively smooth without too many wrinkles.

The leaves of Cymbidium are relatively narrow, about 25 to 80 cm in length and 7 to 12 mm in width. The edges of the leaves have coarse serrations, and the leaves feel rough when touched with the hands, and the surface is not very smooth.

3. Flower Difference

The flower shape of Mo Lan is relatively small, and the flower colors are relatively few and relatively simple, generally in pink, white, yellow-green, purple-brown and other colors. It blooms relatively late, from around October to March of the following year.

The petals of Cymbidium orchid are relatively large and come in many colors, including green, pink, white, red, yellow, etc., and the flower stems are very straight. It blooms earlier, in April or May every year.
