How to cultivate Takasago no Ong succulent and how to grow multiple heads

In the eyes of many people, succulents are relatively small, but this is not always the case. Some succulents are very large. Takasago no Oo is one of them. Its leaves are very broad and the edges are wavy. It looks like cabbage and the color is very bright.

Takasago no Ogi breeding

1. Pot soil

The size of the Takasago no Obito is relatively large, so you should choose a slightly larger flowerpot for planting it. Because it grows relatively fast, the flowerpot should be at least ten centimeters longer than the diameter of the initial plant. The soil should be mainly granular soil, which is relatively loose and breathable, and some clean river sand should be added.

2. Moisture

The Takasago plant is quite drought-resistant and does not need a lot of water. Generally, it is sufficient to water it once a week. In the summer, you can water it more often. In addition, spray some water mist on its leaves to keep it moist. If you grow it on the balcony, be careful not to get it wet by rain, otherwise the roots will easily rot if there is too much water in the pot soil.

3. Fertilization

The Takasago plant does not have very high requirements for fertilizer. When potting, add some organic fertilizer to the soil. In addition, use some nitrogen and potassium fertilizers appropriately in spring and autumn. It should be noted that the weather is relatively hot in summer, so there is no need to fertilize it. In addition, you can add some new organic fertilizers when repotting every year.

4. Temperature and light

Takasago likes a warm environment, and the suitable growth temperature is 15-25℃. In summer, be sure to place it in a cool and ventilated place. In other seasons, it can be placed outdoors in sunlight all day long. This will make its leaves more beautiful and shiny, and it can also allow it to form old stumps better.

Takasago no Owen maintenance precautions

The Takasago plant has a certain degree of drought resistance but is not tolerant to waterlogging. During the growth period, it should be watered in moderation and no water accumulation should occur. Otherwise, the roots will rot if soaked in water for a long time, affecting its normal growth. In addition, it cannot be exposed to too strong sunlight in summer and needs to be placed in a semi-shaded place indoors.
