1. Maintenance methods

4. Nutrient management: When planting, use decomposed cake fertilizer as base fertilizer. Applying phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before flowering and during the peak flowering period can make it bloom more luxuriantly and the color will be brighter.

1. Overwintering: In winter, move it into a greenhouse or indoors. The room temperature should not be lower than 10℃. It will survive better in a sunny place.

2. Natural reproduction: Using the power of nature, after the kapok tree grows fruits, they will naturally crack open on the branches. The oval seeds inside and the white cotton wool will be scattered by the wind, and then they will reproduce themselves.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Stem rot: The entire trunk becomes rotten and black. It is necessary to remove the diseased area to prevent the spread of infection, and then use carbendazim liquid for prevention and control.

2. Scarab beetles: They can be captured with a black light, or sprayed with dimethoate after 5 pm for prevention and control.

1. How long is the flowering period: February and March every year are the seasons when kapok flowers are in full bloom. When kapok flowers are in full bloom, it means the arrival of spring. Kapok trees have a strong ornamental value and are a benchmark for street trees.

2. Can it be planted in the ground: Yes, it can be planted in the ground. The kapok tree is a tropical plant and cannot survive in cold areas. It can be planted in a greenhouse.
