Factory-scale white shrimp farming technology

White shrimp, also known as Vannamei white shrimp, is a seafood with high nutritional value and delicious meat. It is deeply loved by consumers because of its fast growth rate and strong adaptability. Below I will introduce to you the factory-based white shrimp farming technology .

1. Shrimp fry selection

The quality of seedlings should be ensured, which is a prerequisite for the success of factory farming. You should choose high-quality first-generation shrimp seedlings with uniform size, no disease or injury, normal color, clean body surface, and full abdominal muscle. When choosing seedlings, users who have the conditions can choose qualified institutions to conduct testing to ensure that the shrimp seedlings do not carry pathogens such as white spot virus. The temperature of the shrimp fry should be maintained during transportation. The water temperature in the fry bag and the temperature of the breeding pond should not be too different to avoid excessive changes in environmental factors that may cause stress or death to the shrimp fry.

2. Shrimp seedlings are marked as thick

After the shrimp fry are purchased, they need to be marked and temporarily raised. The cement pool and pool water used for marking must be strictly disinfected before use. When marking, attention should be paid to the density not being too high. The seedling specifications should be between 0.8 and 1.0 cm, and the breeding density should be maintained at 2000 to 3000 per cubic meter of water. If the density is too high, the shrimp fry will grow slowly and are prone to suffocation and death due to lack of oxygen. When marking the seedlings, you should choose the appropriate pond. When the shrimp seedlings are marked to 2.5~3.0cm, they should be divided into ponds in time. When dividing the seedlings, you can choose to carry the seedlings in water in plastic buckets to prevent the shrimp seedlings from being injured.

3. Free range

The water in the workshop should be strictly disinfected before use. 10~15 days before stocking, fertilize and water the water to make the water transparency reach 30~40cm. Do not stock the seedlings in clear water. The breeding density should not be too high. We should not simply pursue output, which will increase breeding risks. If the breeding density is high, the water quality will be difficult to control and the risk of water quality deterioration will increase.

4. Feeding

During the breeding period, it is necessary to keep sufficient feed , choose good quality complete feed , and the feeding frequency should be 4 to 6 times a day. Generally, feeding should be done more than twice at night. Feed the shrimp until they are 80% full, and frequently check the amount of feed with the feed tray. Do not feed too much or too little. Reduce the amount of feed during the shrimp molting period, and supplement calcium in time after molting to prevent soft shell phenomenon. After molting, it is necessary to supplement immune enhancers and multivitamins in time, and at the same time mix feed with lactic acid bacteria and take them orally to regulate the physical condition.

5. Daily management

Keep the pool water with sufficient dissolved oxygen, keep the dissolved oxygen content above 5mg/L, use scientific microecological preparations such as lactic acid bacteria, spore bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria to regulate water quality and maintain normal water quality indicators. The breeding pond should be equipped with a central sewage outlet and inflated with air stones, with 1 to 2 air stones placed for every cubic meter of water. It is best to use nanotubes for inflation, and the nanotubes should be arranged in a diamond shape during installation. This will allow the water in the breeding pond to rotate during inflation, thereby facilitating the discharge of waste and leftover bait to the center and facilitating sewage discharge.

Control the water temperature during the breeding period. The temperature should not be lower than 24℃ and not higher than 32℃. The optimum temperature is 27~30℃. Try to avoid loud noises when managing and feeding during the day, and keep the lights on as little as possible when feeding at night to prevent the shrimp from being frightened or stimulated by strong light and causing stress, which will affect their growth.

In summer, when the light duration is longer and the light intensity is higher, shade nets can be used appropriately to control the light intensity. Especially in hot seasons, the indoor humidity is high and the air circulation is poor, so proper ventilation is needed to improve the air quality. Daily pond inspections, record keeping, water temperature control, oxygen pipeline inspections, water quality testing , shrimp intestinal tract observations, and shrimp growth status records are performed.
