The cultivation methods and precautions of tamarind

The cultivation methods and precautions of tamarind

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Tamarind grows well in fertile, loose soil, and the soil is preferably acidic. You can buy suitable nutrient soil, or you can mix leaf mold and charcoal slag.

2. Temperature: It grows better at a temperature of about 18 to 24 degrees Celsius. The temperature in summer should not exceed 30 degrees Celsius, and in winter it should not be lower than 3 degrees Celsius. However, it is best to maintain it at around 10 to 15 degrees Celsius during the winter.

3. Light: A warm and well-lit environment is suitable for its growth, especially when it blooms and bears fruit, it needs more sunlight. When there is strong light, shielding is required.

4. Water: It does not require much water and is relatively drought-resistant, so it does not need excessive watering. Just wait until the soil becomes dry and then water it once.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Pruning: In order to maintain the beauty, pruning is required during the cultivation period. The dense, withered and diseased leaves should be cut off, which can also make the plant more breathable.

2. Reproduction: You can use the sowing method, which can be done around the beginning of spring every year. When sowing, soak the seeds in warm water, take them out and sow them. They will germinate in about a week.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Powdery mildew: This is a common disease. When the disease occurs, small white spots will appear on the leaves, so we need to use powdered mildew or methyl toluene for spraying and prevention to avoid worsening of the disease.

2. Leaf spot disease: Black spots will appear when the disease occurs, and they will continue to expand and dry up. We should cut off the leaves in time and spray them with carbendazim.

IV. Other issues

1. Is it edible? Tamarind can be eaten, but its shell must be peeled off before it can be eaten.

2. Can it be grown at home: It can be grown at home, either indoors or on the balcony, or it can be planted in the courtyard.
