Breeding methods and precautions of high snow wheel

Breeding methods and precautions of high snow wheel

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: Gaoxuelun likes warmth, and the temperature between 15 and 25 degrees is the most suitable. It doesn't like high temperatures very much, so it needs to be adjusted in a hot environment. However, its cold resistance is very good and generally does not need to be adjusted unless it is in extremely cold places.

2. Light: Gaoxuelun likes light. However, it will grow better in a semi-shady environment. In other words, it is better under full sun or half sun conditions. However, places that are too shady are not good either. Especially when it is flowering, it should not be too dark.

3. Watering: The tall snow wheel prefers a drier environment and it cannot be too waterlogged. High humidity is not conducive to its growth. However, when it is very dry, the substrate should not be allowed to dry for too long.

4. Fertilization: Fertilization is required after pinching, mainly using decomposed organic fertilizer. After application, apply again every twenty-five days.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It can be done by sowing. Except in summer, other seasons are more suitable. Pick out and discard any seeds that are too small or have been bitten by insects. Then, cover the soil after sowing. It doesn’t need to be too thick. Generally speaking, about 0.2 cm is better. In addition, if you want to make it into a potted plant, you can sow it directly in the pot.

2. Pruning: After the high snow wheel is established and survives, it must be topped once. After that, it is best to top it once a year. This is of great significance to promoting branching and can also dwarf the plant. After pinching, fertilizer needs to be applied. Here, it is best to cut off some dry and yellow branches and leaves in time.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: The most important disease is "stem rot". In summer and autumn, the frequency of occurrence is relatively high and can be controlled with solutions such as thiophanate-methyl, and it is best to cut off the infected parts.

2. Pests: The main pests are aphids and whiteflies. Spraying pesticides is more appropriate for their prevention and control.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: The high snow wheel is a non-toxic variety.

2. Can it be grown at home? Yes, it is an ornamental plant and is more suitable for potted plants.
