Is yellow wood fragrance easy to grow?

Is yellow wood fragrance easy to grow?

1. Is it easy to raise?

Aucklandia odorifera is a relatively easy plant to grow. It has low soil requirements and can grow even in dry and barren environments. However, its growth cannot be separated from sufficient sunlight, and it is afraid of waterlogging. Therefore, it should be placed outdoors in sunlight on sunny days and moved indoors in time during the rainy season.

2. How to maintain

1. Soil: Aurantium itself is not very demanding on soil, but it grows better in loose, fertile and well-drained soil. The potting soil can be prepared with garden soil, leaf mold and rice husk ash in a ratio of 5:3:2. This will ensure that it has enough nutrients and there is less water accumulation.

2. Light: Aromatica needs sufficient light to grow. If the environment is dark, it will be unfavorable for its flowering. However, the summer sun is too strong and can burn the leaves and flowers, so they need to be placed in semi-shade and then returned to the sun in the early morning or evening.

3. Watering: The amount of watering for Aromatica sinensis should change according to the seasons. During the growing season in spring, water once a day. As the temperature rises in summer, the water demand also increases, so you need to water the plants once in the morning and once in the evening. It enters a dormant period in winter, so just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist.

4. Fertilization: Aucklandia odorifera prefers fertilizer. Apply base fertilizer when planting and repotting, you can use rotted cow dung or chicken manure. Apply concentrated fertilizer once in spring to promote the growth of new shoots. After the flowers fade, add liquid fertilizer to restore its nutrition. Apply organic fertilizer once in winter to help it survive the winter.
