Cultivation method of papaya crabapple flower

Cultivation method of papaya crabapple flower

1. Breeding methods

1. Light: Papaya begonia is suitable for growing in an environment with sufficient sunlight. An overly shady environment will lead to poor growth and affect its flowering and fruiting. And it is not afraid of exposure to the sun, just pay attention to ventilation.

2. Soil: The requirements of the papaya begonia on the soil are not high, as long as it is not saline-alkali soil. Loose, fertile, acidic soil is more conducive to its growth.

3. Watering: Although the papaya crabapple prefers moisture, it is very afraid of waterlogging. Therefore, you must not water too much, just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist. It has strong drought resistance and can be watered after the soil is dry.

4. Fertilization: Apply organic fertilizer once in spring to help flower bud differentiation. Apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers twice after the flowers fade to increase the fruit set rate. Apply heavy fertilizer after the leaves fall in autumn to replenish nutrients for flowering and fruiting.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Sowing: Papaya Begonia is often propagated by sowing. After harvesting the fruits in autumn, select the larger fruits for seeds and store them in fine sand. Sow in the spring of the second year. Soak it in warm water before sowing to promote germination.

2. Grafting: Grafting is mainly for excellent varieties of papaya crabapple. Choosing trees of the same species as rootstock is more conducive to survival after grafting.

3. Pest and disease control

1. Disease: The most common disease is rust, which can be controlled with sodium dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane solution. Spray it once every 10 days and it can be cured after one month.

2. Pests: Aphids and red spiders are more common. It can be controlled by using DDT or omethoate solution.
