How to raise Qingyunzhishang

How to raise Qingyunzhishang

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Qingyunzhishang is suitable for growing in loam or humus soil. The soil should be loose and fertile with good drainage. You can add decomposed animal manure as base fertilizer, and the fertilizer should be crushed and mixed evenly in the potting soil.

2. Light: Qingyunzhishang should not be exposed to sunlight for a long time. It needs proper shade to avoid strong sunlight which may cause poor growth. It can be placed in a well-lit area indoors. Insufficient light can also cause the leaves to fade.

3. Watering: Qingyunzhishang does not require much water. Wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. Water thoroughly at a time, not just halfway. In addition, the time is not fixed, and the soil is checked regularly to determine whether watering is needed.

4. Fertilization: It is advisable to use organic fertilizer for fertilization. During the growing season, you should also apply some foliar fertilizer 3-4 times a month. Fertilization should be combined with watering to allow the fertilizer to be absorbed faster.

2. Breeding techniques

Qingyunzhishang can be propagated by sowing and cuttings. However, the germination rate of sowing is low and the efficiency of cutting propagation is not high. Artificial propagation is not recommended, and seedlings can generally be produced by tissue culture.

3. Pest and disease control

1. Diseases: Common diseases include tip blight, leaf spot and anthracnose. It is usually caused by high temperature and humidity, coupled with poor ventilation. It is necessary to strengthen ventilation, cut off diseased branches and leaves, and spray carbendazim for prevention and control.

2. Pests: The main pests are red spider mites and scale insects. Red spider mites can be controlled with trichloronate, and scale insects can be killed with cypermethrin.
