How to sow primroses

How to sow primroses

1. Collecting seeds

The first step, of course, is to collect seeds. Generally speaking, May to June is more suitable. The seeds of primrose do not live long, so they must be sown promptly after being collected. That is to say, the sowing period is generally around June and can last until September. It is more suitable to sow in late June, when the temperature is more suitable and the success rate is higher.

2. Choose the culture soil

It is best to choose a breathable, loose and well-drained culture soil for sowing. After choosing the culture soil, you can use a sieve to filter it first and select the part with smaller particles as the culture soil.

3. Sowing

1. First put some culture soil into the pot, don't put too much.

2. Because its seeds are very small, do not sow them directly. Instead, you should first mix the seeds into a part of the culture soil, and then evenly spread the soil mixed with seeds on the soil surface. After spreading, press it with your hands or tools, and then cover it with a layer of fine sand. Don't make it too thick, just enough to cover the seeds.

4. Post-processing

1. After sowing, water thoroughly. Then water it in time to keep the culture soil moist.

2. Cover the flower pot with a layer of glass or plastic film. Then, place it in a cool place away from strong sunlight. Then take good care of it, and it will sprout after about a week.
