Is Gardenia suitable for the bedroom?

1. Is it suitable?

Although gardenia is not toxic, it has a strong fragrance that can cause insomnia if you smell it for a long time. Therefore, from a health perspective, it is not suitable to be placed in the bedroom. In addition, it is not suitable from the perspective of its growth habits. It is a woody plant and keeping it indoors is not good for its growth. Especially in terms of lighting, the lighting in the bedroom is usually not good, which will seriously affect growth.

2. Maintenance methods

1. Light: It is a light-loving plant and should be placed in a light environment at ordinary times. More sunlight is beneficial to its growth. But you should pay attention to shade in summer, as strong light can easily burn the leaves.

2. Watering: Water when the soil is dry and do not allow water to accumulate. In spring and autumn, it is usually watered once every two or three days. In summer, water and spray more frequently to maintain high humidity. The temperature is low in winter, so you need to control the watering, once a week is enough.

3. Temperature: It grows rapidly in spring and autumn and prefers a temperature of 16-18 degrees. In summer, ventilate and water more to cool down. In winter, move it indoors. The temperature must not be lower than 5 degrees and must not be higher than 12 degrees, otherwise it will be difficult to survive the winter.
