Cultivation methods and precautions of rabbit ear orchid

Cultivation methods and precautions of rabbit ear orchid

1. Soil

When growing rabbit ear orchids, you must use sandy soil. With such soil, the roots of the plants can absorb nutrients better and it is not easy for water to accumulate in the pot. Be careful not to use soil with high viscosity, as it will be detrimental to the root breathing of the plant.

2. Watering

Do not let it lack water when it is growing vigorously. Water it in time when it is dry, and stop watering immediately after it is thoroughly watered. Normally, it is better to let the soil be a little dry rather than have water accumulation, and never stop watering halfway. In addition, watering should also be done at the appropriate time. Watering should be avoided when the sun is strong. Watering can be done in the morning and evening.

3. Fertilization

Fertilizer should be applied at the appropriate time during its growth period. The interval between each fertilization should not exceed half a month. Generally, fertilizer should be applied every 10-15 days. Organic fertilizer can be used. However, the fertilizer must be diluted before application and the amount of fertilizer must be controlled. Excessive fertilization will cause root rot. In addition, be careful not to use chemical fertilizers as they can easily cause diseases.

IV. Precautions

During the maintenance process, the ventilation of the maintenance environment should be ensured. If the plants are placed in a hot and stuffy place, they are likely to suffer from diseases. In addition, be sure to take medication in a timely manner after the onset of the disease.
