Primrose cultivation methods and precautions

Primrose cultivation methods and precautions

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: The soil needs to be loose, with a lower pH value and not be alkaline. On daily basis, you can mix leaf mold and garden soil in a ratio of 2:1 and add some fertilizer to it to meet the growth needs and also benefit the development and growth of the root system.

2. Light: It likes sunlight and has certain requirements in this regard, but it cannot grow in the direct sun. In summer, it can be exposed to some scattered light, and starting from autumn and winter, it can be exposed to full sunlight, which can promote its growth.

3. Water: A humid environment is more suitable for growth, but the amount of watering should not be too much. Once it is too much, the roots will rot. In summer, water can be applied once in the morning and once in the evening to meet the evaporation rate. As the climate turns cooler, watering can be reduced.

4. Nutrients: Fertilization needs to be carried out according to different periods. When the climate becomes cooler in autumn, the growth rate will accelerate. At this time, the application of nutrients is very critical. Apply it every 7-10 days to fully meet the growth needs.

5. Temperature: Around 15℃ is the most suitable temperature, and it needs to be kept above 0℃ during the winter.

2. Precautions

When it comes to pruning, you should remove some of the branches during the flowering period to promote a concentrated supply of nutrients. The flowers should be removed promptly after they bloom and fade, which will facilitate the growth of later flower branches.
