How to propagate roses

1. Sowing seeds

1. This method is only applicable to single-petal seeds. The seeds are mature in October and can be picked off.

2. Wrap it in moist sand for storage and then sow it in the spring of the following year.

3. Before planting, soak it in warm water at about 40 degrees for 5-7 hours, take it out, dry it and then sow it. Choose a soft, nutrient-rich substrate, cover the seeds with 2 cm of fine soil after sowing, and they will sprout in about a month.

2. Division method

It can be used in spring and autumn. Dig out healthy plants with their roots, being careful not to damage the roots. Then divide it into several parts according to the roots and plant them separately.

3. Cutting method

1. Cut two-year-old strong branches about 15 cm long and apply mud on the lower end of the branches.

2. Choose a soft and breathable substrate to facilitate survival.

3. Insert it and place it in a semi-shaded place. It will take about a month to take root.

4. Grafting

The most suitable time is summer, and wild roses and roses are generally used as rootstocks. The plants need to grow healthily and be free of diseases and pests. Use the cutting or chopping method to connect and fit, tie it up and fix it, and remove it in about 15 days.
