Can purple spiderwort be grown hydroponically?

Can purple spiderwort be grown hydroponically?

1. Is it possible?

It is also called purple bamboo plum. It has a distinctive shape and is ornamental. It has very tenacious vitality and can survive after simple planting. In addition to planting in soil, it can also be planted hydroponically, and the survival rate is relatively high.

2. Hydroponic Method

1. Select some plants that are relatively strong and in good growth condition, and the root systems underneath need to be relatively developed so that they can grow better.

2. Prepare a container for cultivation in advance. The best material should be transparent glass, and it must not leak from the bottom.

3. Remove the old roots, rotten roots and overly long roots under the plant, then soak them in the solution for disinfection, and remove them after about 2 hours.

4. After placing the plant, put a few small stones in the prepared container to help fix it. Then add clean water until the water level reaches two-thirds of the plant's root system.

5. Then place it in a sunny place, but avoid direct sunlight. Add nutrient solution regularly to ensure growth. When starting to grow, change the water every two days, and then change the water normally after the roots grow out. Change the water every half a month in spring and once a week in summer.
