How to grow mountain roses in summer

How to grow mountain roses in summer

1. Cultivation conditions

1. Mountain roses prefer loose and breathable nutrient soil, preferably mixed with granular organic soil. You can also add coal slag, pebbles, etc.

2. Summer is the dormant period of mountain rose. It does not need too much sunlight, but also needs shade and good ventilation.

3. Water as little as possible in summer and just keep the soil moist at all times. If it is too dry, you can spray water, but don't water the heart, or it will rot.

4. Mountain roses do not require much fertilizer. During the dormant period, burying a little fertilizer next to the plant is enough for it to grow.

2. Reproduction Methods

1. Mountain rose can be propagated by sowing. Soak the seeds in clean water for 2-3 hours, spread them evenly in the seedling bed, and sprinkle a layer of nutrient soil on the surface. Then cover it with ground film and give it appropriate shade, but no strong light is needed. Seedlings will emerge in about 10 days.

2. During the growing season, use a sterile blade to cut off plump and healthy side buds, place them in a cool and ventilated place, and bury them in moist nutrient soil if there is no obvious moisture on the wound. During the growth period, basically no management is required. Just don't let it be exposed to sunlight. It will take root in about 20 days.

three. Pest control

For rust, you can spray with diluted wettable powder. Whitefly is a very harmful pest and can be eliminated by spraying with diluted omethoate.
