Cultivation methods and precautions of Dieffenbachia

Cultivation methods and precautions of Dieffenbachia

1. Soil

To grow evergreen, you can mix humus, forest leaf mold, sandy garden soil, slag ash and manure in equal amounts and use it as the soil for growing it. After the soil is prepared, it needs to be disinfected before use. It can be dried in the sun or stir-fried.

2. Temperature

Dieffenbachia grows best in an environment of 20-30℃. If the temperature is too high, it will wilt and become lifeless. In addition, the temperature cannot be too low, because below 7℃ will affect its normal growth.

3. Lighting

Dieffenbachia is a shade-loving plant and cannot be exposed to the sun for a long time. During normal maintenance, it needs to be placed in a semi-hidden place to give it scattered light, but in winter the light intensity is relatively weak, so it needs to be given sufficient sunlight.

4. Watering

Dieffenbachia prefers a relatively humid growing environment, but too much water can easily cause root rot. Therefore, we must pay attention to the dryness and wetness of the soil before watering, and wait until the soil starts to dry before watering. Don't water too much at one time, just keep the soil moist.

5. Notes

1. Prune in time. In early spring, it is necessary to cut off the aging branches and leaves of the evergreen in time. This will not only facilitate the growth of new branches, but also make it more beautiful.

2. Apply fertilizer in appropriate amounts. During the spring growing season, apply diluted compound fertilizer to the evergreen once every half a month to provide it with sufficient nutrients to support the growth of its new branches.
