The difference between large-flowered Huilan and black orchid

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of the large-flowered cymbidium are 35 to 60 cm long, 1.4 to 2.3 cm wide, and ribbon-shaped. The tips of the leaves are acute, and the joints are located 6 to 10 cm from the base.

The leaves of Mo Lan are nearly leathery, dark green, about 45 to 80 cm long and 2 to 3 cm wide. The leaf surface is shiny, and the joints are located 3.5 to 7 cm at the base.

2. Flower Differences

The large-flowered Cymbidium has a raceme with 7 to 14 flowers. The bracts are ovate-triangular, about 3 to 4 mm long. The flowers are very large, with a diameter of 11 to 12 cm. The petals are narrow and oblong to lanceolate, and come in a variety of colors including yellow, green, white, red, pink, and complex colors.

The flowers of Mo Lan are in racemes, usually with 10 to 20 flowers. The flowers are usually dark purple or purple-brown and have a light-colored lip. The petals are nearly narrowly ovate and about 2 to 2.7 cm long.
