1. Difference of bladesThe leaves of loquat are leathery, lanceolate, obovate or elliptical-oblong, about 12-30 cm long and 3-9 cm wide, with serrated edges on the upper part and entire base. It is shiny and hairless above and has gray-brown down underneath. Petiole almost absent or very short, 6-10 mm long. The leaves of wild loquat are rectangular, obovate or ovate-rectangular. It is much smaller than the former, about 7.5-13 cm long, about 2.2-4.5 cm wide, and the petiole is about 1-1.2 cm long. 2. Petal DifferenceLoquat has a panicle inflorescence growing at the top. The petals are white and oblong or oval. Wild loquat also has panicles. The petals are yellow-green in color. 3. Fruit DifferenceLoquat fruit is spherical or oblong, and yellow or orange in color. The wild loquat fruit is spherical, much smaller than the former, and purple-red in color. |
