What is the difference between nine-headed grass and nine-headed lion grass

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of Hyacinthus annuus are simple and opposite, clustered at the base, linear-lanceolate or linear, 3 to 9 cm long and 1 to 4 cm wide. The base of the leaves embraces the stem, the leaf blade is entire, and the leaves have short hairs on both sides, with more hairs on the leaf margins.

The leaves of the nine-headed lion grass are ovate-rectangular, 5 to 12 cm long and about 2.5 to 4 cm wide. The top of the leaves gradually becomes sharp, and the base is obtuse or acute.

2. Flower Differences

The flowers of Hyacinthus annuus are solitary in the leaf axils, with pedicels 6 to 24 mm long. The calyx is tubular, green or purple, with 5 petals that are white, light pink or light yellow and strip-shaped.

The inflorescence of Nine-Headed Lion Grass is terminal or axillary, consisting of 2 to 8 cymes. The corolla is pink or slightly purple, 2.5 to 3 cm long.
