2. Flower Differences

The umbel inflorescence of Hairy Cabbage is terminal, the bracts of the flowers are halberd-shaped, membranous, and sharp at the apex, the pedicel is about 5 mm long, the calyx tube is 1 to 2 cm long, 1 to 2 cm in diameter, with 5 lobes, the petals are pink or purple-red, usually 5 petals, and are broadly obovate.

The wild peony umbel inflorescence grows at the top of the branches, with 3 to 5 flowers. The petals are rose red or pink, obovate, and 3 to 4 cm long.
