1. Differences in the stems

The heart-leafed Hoya is also called the wax orchid and is a subshrub. The stems and branches can extend upward to about 2 meters, and the epidermis is yellow-gray in color.

The dragon wood is a perennial evergreen shrub or small tree that can grow to 3 to 5 meters in height. It has a rather peculiar shape, with a grayish-white stem covered with hard thorns.

2. The difference of leaves

The leaves of the heart-leaf Hoya are long oval, or heart-shaped, about 5 to 9 cm long and 4.5 to 5 cm wide. The colors of the front and back of the leaves are different.

The dragon tree often grows in pairs, with large leaves being green and small leaves being gray-black, with the front and back of the leaves being the same color.

3. The difference of flowers

The flowers of the heart-leaved hoya are white.

The inflorescence of the Asian dragon tree is about 30 cm long, and the flowers are yellow or white-green in color.
