Common pests of wisteria include snails, scale insects, whiteflies, etc.

Scale insects

The most important insect pest of wisteria is scale insects, which parasitize on the edges of leaves and feed on leaf sap. In severe cases, the entire plant will wither and die. When the disease occurs, spray 1000 times the concentration of omethoate solution.

snails

Snails often appear in the rainy seasons of spring and summer. There is no cure, we can only prevent it. Sprinkle lime powder around the plants regularly, once a month in the off-season and once in February or March in other seasons to ensure good ventilation.

Whitefly

When the disease occurs, small white bugs appear on the leaves. You can spray streptomycin in the morning or after work for prevention and control, spray once every 4 to 5 days. When the disease occurs, you can use 3000 times the speed of spray to kill the aphids.

Common diseases of Wisteria

Prevention

Use 1000 times carbendazim solution and 800 times thiophanate-methyl soluble wet agent for prevention and control.

Also known as black spot disease or brown spot disease, it mainly harms the leaves of wisteria when it occurs. Many brown spots appear on the leaves, which gradually fall off over time. This disease frequently occurs in hot and humid environments.

Prevention

Change the environment to high heat and humidity; remove the diseased leaves in time when the disease first occurs; spray Bordeaux mixture once every 7 days, 4 to 5 times can cure it; you can also use 1000 times carbendazim solution for prevention and control.

Vein mosaic

It mainly harms the lateral veins of wisteria. In the early stage, the lateral veins of wisteria will turn yellow and gradually expand to form radiating spots. Sometimes the main veins turn yellow and spots appear, and in severe cases the leaves become deformed.
