Can mangosteen seeds be eaten?

Can mangosteen seeds be eaten?

1. Can I eat it?

Mangosteen seeds are not edible. The yellow stuff inside cannot be eaten. If you remove the yellow stuff and the white stuff remains, you can eat it. If it is yellow and the shell is very soft, it is recommended not to eat it.

Generally, we peel the fruit by pressing it to break it. We must be careful not to get the juice from the shell on the flesh or clothes. If it gets on the flesh, it will affect the taste, and if it gets on clothes, it will be difficult to clean. In addition, please note that only the white flesh of mangosteen should be eaten, the rest should not be eaten.

Second, the method after eating

If you accidentally swallow mangosteen seeds, don't worry. As long as it is not stuck and there is no feeling of suffocation, it is not a big problem. It will pass through the intestines in a day or two, so there is no need to worry too much.
