Perilla growth environment and conditions

Perilla has a strong adaptability to climate and is suitable for cultivation in any relatively warm and humid environment. Its origin is in China and it is mainly distributed in India, Myanmar and other countries. It is also cultivated in large quantities in my country. It is a relatively easy-to-care plant and it also has wild species and cultivated species in Taiwan Province.

Perilla Growing Conditions

Perilla is an annual herb with strong adaptability to soil. It can grow well in clay or loam as long as it has good air permeability and is rich in humus.

Perilla growth temperature

When perilla is growing, the seeds will germinate when the ground temperature reaches 5 degrees. The more suitable temperature for germination is 18 degrees to 23 degrees. It can withstand low temperatures of 1-2 degrees during the seedling stage.

Perilla growth process

When growing perilla, well-drained soil is generally used. During maintenance, sufficient sunlight is needed. It prefers a warm and humid growing environment, but its growth period is relatively short. When fertilizing, nitrogen fertilizer is generally used as the main fertilizer. Watering is usually done in moderation.

Time and method of planting perilla

Perilla is usually planted in March in spring, which is conducive to the growth of the plant. When planting, you can take out the stored seeds and sow them into moist soil. When maintaining it, it requires sufficient sunlight and a good ventilation environment.
