Seed propagationPick plump, ripe, scarlet fresh fruits, rub them in clean water, remove the peel and impurities and shriveled grains floating on the water surface, and dry them for later use. Spring sowingIt can be grown from March to May, when the temperature is 16℃~22℃, and it will germinate 25~35 days after sowing. Autumn sowingThe best time for autumn sowing is September to early October. Before sowing, choose a nursery with good water and fertilizer conditions as the seedling field. Deep plowing, breaking up the soil, and raking it flat make ridges with a width of 1~1.2m. DrillingThe row spacing for row sowing is 30m. SowingMix the seeds with fine sand and spread them evenly on the seedbed. Cover with 1.2 cm thick soil after sowing, then cover with grass and water. When 2 to 3 true leaves appear, start thinning out the seedlings, keeping the plant spacing at 10 to 15 cm. Combine it with weeding and apply human and animal manure. Spray water on the leaves after application to prevent fertilizer from burning the seedlings. Transplant when the seedlings are 15 to 20 cm tall. Cutting propagationIt is best to do it in spring or the rainy season from July to August. Cut branches that are one year old or older with full tissue, medium maturity, and gray-green skin as cuttings. Tender branches of the current year should not be used. The cuttings are 10-15cm long, with 4-5 nodes. Cut off the leaves between the 1st and 2nd nodes to reduce water evaporation from the leaves. In order to expand the rooting surface and water absorption, the cut should be slanted and smooth to improve the survival rate of cuttings. When the temperature is between 18℃ and 25℃, rooting will take place 35 to 40 days after planting. If the temperature is below 18℃, rooting will be delayed by 5 to 7 days. If you use "Gen Sun" rooting agent, rooting will be faster TreatmentMix 350 times diluted rooting agent and yellow mud into mud, dip the cut end of the cuttings in the mixed slurry, and insert them into the seedling pond after the mud is dry. When inserting them into the seedling pond, first use a stick to poke holes and then insert the seedlings to prevent the yellow mud from separating from the cuttings and affecting the rooting effect. The cutting medium can be directly made of river sand or yellow mud, with a plant spacing of 9cmx12cm. After cutting, cover it with 70%~80% shade net, then water it thoroughly, and then spray it with water 1~2 times a day to keep the soil in the bed moist. The temperature is 18℃~25℃, and roots will grow 20~25 days after planting. Layering propagationIt is usually carried out in the soil where silt is deposited. Part of the aging branches is ring-peeled or cut and buried in the soil. After it takes root and sprouts, it can be planted after being peeled off in late autumn or the following spring. |
