How to Identify Narcissus

1. Bulb

The bulb of the South American daffodil is relatively large and similar to an onion. It is oval to broadly ovoid, with a brown outer membrane.

2. Blades

The leaves of the South American daffodil are broad, dark green and very shiny.

3. Flowers

South American daffodils grow in umbels at the top, with about 5-7 flowers, and are pure white in color. The peduncle is flat and cylindrical, with yellow pollen, and the corolla is cylindrical with a corona in the middle. The petals are star-shaped when they bloom, and the fragrance is overflowing when it blooms. The flowering period is winter and spring.

IV. Precautions

South American daffodils are suitable for environments with good ventilation and semi-light. The summer sun is strong, so remember not to expose them to direct sunlight and provide shade in time to avoid the heat. In winter, it should be placed in a sunny place indoors so that it can receive sufficient light to promote growth.
